They enable direct (without the need for prior drilling) installation of fasteners in substrates made of lightweight concrete such as aerated concrete, expanded clay concrete, Siporex. They are used to attach load-bearing structures and coverings made of metal, wood or plastic (such as insulating materials) to aerated concrete.
